Recycle, Reuse. Your coffee will arrive in a reusable aluminum can equipped with a high-tech barrier and a resealable plastic lid. Our packaging guarantees a "just roasted" flavor for 6 months, and it enables reuse & recycle.

Did you know...aluminum is the most abundant metal on earth? A used aluminum can is recycled and back in use in as little as 60 days! Making new aluminum cans from used cans takes 95% less energy and 20 recycled cans can be made with the energy needed to produce one can using virgin ore. Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to keep a 100-watt bulb burning for almost four hours. Visit www.earth911.org and learn!

About Us: Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea provides artisan roast coffees and exotic teas to both retail and food service markets throughout the United States. Owned and operated by Mané Alves, a native of Lisbon, Portugal who has worked in the wine and coffee industries for the past 18 years. Mané  travels extensively to coffee producing countries throughout Central America, South America and Asia where he speaks and teaches seminars in their native languages on coffee production and quality standards. With each trip Mané has nurtured direct relationships with the farms and families who cultivate the very products we sell.

We believe in Local First. Although coffee isn't grown here, we purchase all our other needs as close to home as possible and embrace our local community by donating weekly to our local food shelf, supporting local fund drives with product and services, working with our high school for employment outreach, gifting all compostable materials to local farmers and more.

Vermont Artisan is proud to be a member of: Vermont Fresh Network, Vermont Specialty Foods Association, Vermont Chamber of Commerce, The Specialty Coffee Association of America, and the Roasters Guild. We are a certified organic processor as certified by VOF.

At Vermont Artisan, we have a resolute dedication to quality and freshness
and unwavering commitment to providing a product unsurpassed by all other brands.

  • We are environmentally conscious and chose our packaging specifically to promote reuse and recycle.
  • We buy direct, supporting only farms with the utmost respect and care for their people, their product, their land and their environment.
  • We buy only premium, single-estate coffee & tea. Others say it but we mean it ~ we'll only buy beans rating highest on the Specialty Coffee Grading Scale.
  • All of our products undergo careful quality, social and environmental inspection provided by Coffee Lab International www.coffeelab.com
  • We roast, pack and ship to order, nothings ever wharehoused.
  • Our coffees share a “roast date” for freshness. So whether you buy our product directly from us or find it in your favorite store or restaurant, it’ll be the very best it can be .

Local First! We are proud members of Vermont FreshNet, Vermont Specialty Foods Association and NOFA Vermont, partnering with the best of Vermont.  Embrace your community. Support your local food shelf.
